Information stored on your device
HeadKind stores the information you enter, which may include migraine dates and duration, pain location and severity, symptoms, medication, possible triggers, relief measures, daily impact and notes. It also stores your app preferences and optional reminder settings. These records are not synced to a HeadKind account or cloud health record.
iOS handles optional local notification permission. Reminder content and schedules are managed on your device.
Purchases and paywall analytics
HeadKind uses Apple's StoreKit and Superwall to present offers, process purchases, restore access and confirm HeadKind Pro status. Superwall may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription status, app and device information, paywall views and interactions, and approximate location derived from an IP address for app functionality and analytics. HeadKind does not give Superwall your migraine records, medication, symptoms, notes or exported files.
Apple processes App Store transactions under Apple's privacy policy. Superwall processes its service data under its own privacy policy. Neither service receives migraine-record fields from HeadKind.
Exports and sharing
PDF reports and JSON archives are generated on your iPhone. They leave HeadKind only when you choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. The privacy practices of that destination then apply. Review the destination before sharing health information.
Retention and deletion
Migraine records remain on your device until you delete individual records, use Delete all data in HeadKind, or remove the app. These actions cannot be undone unless you previously exported a copy.
To prevent repeated use of the free allowance, HeadKind stores up to two random completion identifiers in the device Keychain. They contain no migraine dates, symptoms, medication, severity, notes or other health content. This allowance record is not synced and may remain after deleting and reinstalling the app.
Purchase records and service events retained by Apple and Superwall are governed by their policies and legal obligations.
The HeadKind website
This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or account sign-in. Standard hosting logs may temporarily contain basic request information such as an IP address, browser type and request time for security and reliable delivery.
Children
HeadKind is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, contact us so we can address it.
Your choices and contact
You can deny notification permission, stop reminders, export your records, delete records, or delete all app data from HeadKind's Settings. Because HeadKind has no account or copy of your migraine record, we cannot retrieve or delete that on-device data for you.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when HeadKind's features or service providers change. The current version and its effective date will always appear on this page.
